“Darkness will be preferred to light and death will be thought more profitable than life.”
This ancient hermetic prophecy, read (with brief commentary) by Graham Hancock in the video below, could have been written about the time in which we currently live.
I think Hancock states much more eloquently what I have been trying to say with all my recent posts about crossroads and “unfucking the future.” Please watch it, and I apologize in advance for the tears you’ll likely shed.
I notice that, although there is nothing in the text to encourage it, the artist has chosen to interpret this through the methodology of apocalyptic environmentalism. But this very worldview is the cudgel that is being used, above all others, to crush us into the dust. The deepest part of this internal work is asking, “what am I assuming to be true?”
Every one of the ancient stories contains something else, as well-redemption.
The reckoning, the flood, the fields of detritus and the long walk home all happen within.
