When it comes to communicating with the masses, normally I try to stick to writing.
I’ve really been wanting to add video content to this publication for some time, but I had cold feet. I think of myself as not being very good at speaking, and feel much more confident in my writing skills.
However, after doing a few podcast appearances over the past couple of months, the itch grew stronger. I decided to go ahead and get comfortable with the idea. Here’s my first(ish) attempt: a 10-minute video discussing what real-life dystopia looks like, and highlighting my new book. Feel free to share it, and please forgive my ums and ahhs as I get accustomed to making words come out of my mouth in an ordered fashion.
I’ll be adding this video to other platforms like Odysee and BitChute soon. And I have more video content planned for the coming weeks—some solo material and some conversations with friends. It’ll be fun, and hopefully the more I do it the less awkward I’ll feel!
I’m also thoroughly chuffed to report that I got my first five-star Amazon review for the book last week:
Speaking of which: if you have read How to Survive Dystopia and you purchased it on Amazon (either the paperback or Kindle version), I’d be most grateful if you would leave me a review, as well. Verified customer reviews are one of the most important factors for book sales on Amazon. The more reviews the book receives, the more likely Amazon is to recommend it to new readers.
That’s it for today. Stay tuned for my reaction to episodes 4 and 5 of HBO’s The Anarchists, coming out this week.
Thank you for reading!
