Blessing For a New Endeavor
Prayer of the week
A seed of inspiration you have planted in my mind.
My hands itch in anticipation of good work to be done,
my feet yearn to take the next step, and the next.
My spirit longs to serve,
to fulfill the purpose for which you have sent me forth.
I have asked and prayed,
waited and discerned.
I have listened for the revelation
of your will.
And now, an answer:
a ray of encouragement warms my heart,
and you bid me to begin.
Lord, bless this new endeavor.
Grant me the tools to succeed,
the strength to endure,
and patience to see it through.
Most of all, grant me a clear channel
through which your love might be poured out
onto the world through this work.
Be it but a microscopic part of the unfolding
of your plan for all creation,
let it magnify the splendor of your essence
and be a worthy reflection of your holy light.
Amen.
