Prayer of the week

Today at 1 pm eastern, I will be hosting a small virtual prayer circle for my daughter, Raven O’Hara, who is nineteen years old and is facing a serious health crisis. Her friends and family will join us in a virtual meeting for the purpose of praying for and radiating love to Raven, and setting a powerful collective intention for her full healing and recovery. Because I believe wholeheartedly in the value and efficacy of prayer—and especially collective prayer—I am inviting all readers of my work to join this circle in spirit. If you can spare a few minutes between 1 pm to 1:30 pm eastern, please take some time to beam love to this beautiful, special soul, and to pray for her complete healing and recovery.

I wrote this week’s prayer especially for Raven, but I reckon it could be used by anyone facing health struggles, particularly if they are of a musical bent. It’s short and sweet, and that’s on purpose, to make it easy to recall.

After you read the prayer, if you have a bit of extra time, I highly recommend the YouTube video linked beneath, about one woman’s near death experience and what she learned about prayer in the realm beyond. I can’t guarantee the veracity of the story or its details, but it deeply resonates with me, and I think it could be useful and encouraging for every heart that prays.

Raven’s Prayer

Sing healing into the cells of my body,
strum peace upon the strings of my heart.
Raise me above all discordant notes,
hum courage into the thoughts of my mind.
Harmonize my spirit
to the cosmic composition
and let my whole being resound
to the symphony of your love.

Amen.
