In fact, it’s probably one of those “take that, flip it and reverse it” situations. It’s really scary to me you would think that. Does this mean that the TV show is now shaping and rewriting our own perception of our circle??? We are more open to change and self examination by nature. We are more willing to be ourselves even if that looks weird. We are more honest when we have issues. As a result 99.9999% of what we see on this fucking TV show no one at an event has had to deal with. It’s overwhelmingly a negative portrayal of some of the most peaceful, well meaning people. Whether or not people really ready for change might have seen a show with a balanced portrayal of who we are would reject it is not something you know for sure. That’s as honest if we are talking honesty as someone saying anarchy would never work because it’s never been done before. Well, they’d reject it anyway so let’s just celebrate our shitshow and be happy we got to see ourselves on TV... hard hard eye rolls. No, the show is a dishonest portrayal of the worst things that ever happened in our community all rolled into one and the most honest thing anyone can say about it is that it is spreading distortion around a true crime drama and making it look like our belief systems set us up for this- and from that quote, I take it you believe this propaganda narrative.
